A friend of mine shared a post today about Eddie Robinson, the late, great coach of the Grambling Tigers. The post pointed out that Robinson coached four Pro Football Hall of Famers during his tenure. That made me wonder how that stacked up against other famous college football coaches. How many others had at least four? Here’s what I found:
Robinson trails only five coaches on this list. He is ahead of such luminaries as Barry Switzer, Tom Osborn, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Joe Paterno, Ara Parseghian, Lou Holtz and others. Not too bad!
