Definitely one of my favorites. Budokan was their best selling album for good reason. They are one of, if not the best bands live in any era. At least of the bands I've seen live. And I've seen them numerous times. All I have to say is "Fuckin' Rick Nielsen!"

Amen, brother! They were my first concert with Saxon and Aldo Nova opening at Wings. Summer of 1982. Well, Frank Sinatra was my first concert. But does that count if you go as an 11-year-old with your parents? lol

Yes it does count. My parents took me and my brothers to Neil Sedaka at Miller Auditorium for my first concert. My first solo concert was John Denver in the round at Wings Stadium. Both shows in the mid to late 70's. Good times!

He is/was awesome! I just love his music. And talk about an unassuming actor. Oh God is one of my favorite movies. I play Take Me Home Country Roads. It's a real crowd pleaser.

I'd love it if someone shot a video of you playing that so I could see it. Have you seen the version of Leaving On A Jet Plane that he did with Cass Elliot? Magic. https://youtu.be/bRe648clNjg?si=hnBDAlU6PoaCNEQf

As a matter of fact, I just watched that video today, because it had been so long since I had heard his version of Country Roads, that I wanted to listen to it to see how closely I play and sing it. I play it exactly how he did. So, after I lwatched/listened to that, I saw Leaving on a Jet Plane and watched that too. Back Home Again too. Great writer!
